A Perth man who kicked and tried to headbutt federal police officers during an airport arrest has been fined $3250.
Police were called to Perth Airport about 6pm yesterday over reports a man was being disruptive inside the international terminal.
The 38-year-old from Warnbro was escorted out but refused to leave and tried to remain in the area.
"When the officers then attempted to arrest the man, he resisted arrest and attempted to head-butt officers and kicked an officer in the chest," Australian Federal Police said.
The officer was not physically injured during the incident."
The man was charged with trespass and assaulting and obstructing officers, which he pleaded guilty to in court yesterday.
He was slapped with a $3250 fine and ordered to pay costs of $156.
A spent conviction order was also made.
Australian Federal Police reiterated it has zero tolerance for any antisocial, violent or dangerous behaviour.
