A man has been charged after a fatal stabbing inside a Melbourne home.
A 36-year-old man was found seriously injured inside a home on Victoria Drive in Thomastown about 8.40pm on Thursday.
Police performed CPR but the man died at the scene.
9News understands the house is a halfway home, with several transient residents often coming in and out of the property.
A 45-year-old man from Glenroy was arrested at the scene.
Homicide Squad detectives today charged the man with burglary, theft and common law assault.
He is expected to appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.
Police are still searching for a second person in relation to the alleged stabbing.
Victoria Police said the alleged stabbing "appears to be a targeted attack".
