Police are searching for the driver of a white Mazda after an alleged road rage incident in western Sydney left a motorcycle rider seriously injured overnight.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Reservoir Road and Penny Place at Blacktown about 10pm yesterday following reports a rider had fallen onto the road.
Paramedics treated an 18-year-old man at the scene before he was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police said officers were told the rider and male driver of a vehicle were allegedly involved in a physical altercation.
It's believed the rider attempted to leave but lost control and fell from the bike, police said.
The other man allegedly returned to his car, described as a white Mazda, and drove away.
Police said the vehicle was last seen travelling southbound along Reservoir Road.
Anyone with information about the matter – or who was in the area at the time with any available dashcam or mobile phone footage - is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
