Three teenagers have been charged after carrying out a terrifying alleged carjacking in Melbourne's south-east yesterday.
An Uber Eats food delivery driver parked in a driveway at a home in Langwarrin about 1.45pm before a 17-year-old allegedly ran from a passing ute and jumped into the driver's seat.
As the delivery driver attempted to stop the alleged carjacking, another teenager ran from the ute and punched the driver in the head.
The man got back to his feet and chased the car as it sped off, but fell under the vehicle.
The 33-year-old was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Police said the teenagers drove from Langwarrin to Oakleigh, dumping their vehicle on Paddington Road, before allegedly breaking into a home on nearby Carlisle Crescent.
Police allege the offenders found an elderly couple, assaulted them and ransacked their house.
Officers swarmed the Oakleigh property and arrested three teenagers.
Two of the 17-year-olds were charged with aggravated home invasion and aggravated carjacking.
They were expected to appear in court today.
The third teenager was charged with aggravated home invasion and aggravated carjacking and is in hospital under police guard.
