Man and woman charged after police allegedly uncover weapon haul under patio

A man and a woman have been charged after police allegedly uncovered weapons and thousands of rounds of ammunition at a home in Western Australia.
Police searched the property in Baldivis at 7.30am on Friday, where they allegedly found several firearms and an extensive range of firearm parts hidden in various places, including under the rear patio deck and in the roof space.
The gang crime squad seized a double barrel loaded shotgun, a lever-action shotgun, a lightweight compact revolver, a home-made manufactured handgun, a bolt-action rifle, a snub-nose revolver, a 3D printed firearm, two gel blasters and more than 1500 rounds of ammunition.

A 23-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, both from Baldivis, were arrested at the home.
The pair have each been charged with:
  • One count of possession of firearms without a licence
  • One count of possessed an altered firearm while not being the holder of a firearms licence
  • One count of manufactured a firearm, major firearm part, prohibited firearm accessory or ammunition without a licence
  • One count of not being licensed or permitted to possess a firearm, possessed a handgun or prohibited firearm
  • One count of unlicensed person possess firearm/ammunition
The man and woman are due to appear before the Rockingham Magistrates Court next month.
