Meteor delights Victorian stargazers

Victorian stargazers were treated to a spectacular sight last night as a meteor lit up the sky.
Residents shared their excitement on social media after they witnessed the sight at about 9pm.
The meteor was seen across many suburbs including Clayton, Brunswick, Mulgrave, Eltham, Chirnside Park, Donnybrook, Berwick, Keilor, Malvern, Box Hill, Deer Park, Williamstown, Maryborough and Ballarat.

One video, posted by Victorian Storm Chasers, described the sight as "incredible".
In another video, a child speculated that it was "a wishing star" or a "ball of fire".
