Human remains found by Murrumbidgee River, south of Canberra

Police are investigating after human remains were discovered by the Murrumbidgee River south of Canberra yesterday afternoon.
A member of the public called police to report finding a body near the northern end of the Point Hut Crossing, which is about a 30-minute drive from Canberra, about 3.45pm yesterday.
ACT police said a post-mortem will determine the person's cause of death, while the body is yet to be identified.
