Amber has been a journalist for 14 years, starting her career with the Seven Network in Sydney after completing a Bachelor of Arts (Communications) at the University of Technology, Sydney.

After worked as a reporter in the NSW snowfields, before moving to the Commonwealth Bank's financial news service. Amber moved to the Ten Network for the Sydney Olympics.

Amber then moved to London to work as a finance journalist for several years, before returning to Australia to take up a position hosting a news & current affairs program for the Ten Network in Canberra.

After her successful stint in Canberra, Amber returned to Sydney as a financial journalist for Commsec in Sydney, before moving to Sky News Australia as a newsreader and business presenter. She joined the First Edition team, before moving to the Evening News to host a nightly business program.

In 2007, Amber joined the Nine Network as TODAY's business and finance reporter. She went on to present the early morning edition of the Qantas Inflight News, now broadcast on the Nine Network as the Early Morning News.

In January 2009, Amber joined WEEKEND TODAY - alongside co-hosts Cameron Williams and Leila McKinnon, and sports reporter, Michael Slater.
