Alison Ariotti, a storyteller for nearly two decades, has dedicated 16 of those years to the Nine Network.

Her fascination with people and an insatiable curiosity have fueled her passion for news since childhood. Born in Sydney but later calling Kingscliff, New South Wales, home, Alison's journey in journalism was inevitable.

As a high school student, she practiced her 'news voice' while announcing orders at a local café. After finishing high school, Alison pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane.

Her career ignited in 2001 at the WIN Cairns Newsroom as a journalist, later relocating to the Sunshine Coast WIN Newsroom in 2003. She returned to Cairns as Chief of Staff and joined 9News Gold Coast as a reporter in 2004, just ahead of the infamous Schoolies event.

Alison's journey continued, leading her to the 9News Brisbane newsroom. Her enthusiasm and adaptability earned her a full-time position, and she later became the TODAY Queensland Reporter, a role she cherished for four years.

In this role, Alison extensively covered the Queensland floods, offering solace and support to affected communities. She also reported on significant stories like the Daniel Morcombe case, Allison Baden-Clay's disappearance and murder, and international events like the Delhi Commonwealth Games, Tour de France, and London Olympics.
