A father and his two children have died and the kids' mother is fighting for life after a crash in Queensland's Western Downs.
The man and the children died at the roadside after their car collided with a ute on Dalby-Jandowae Road at Jimbour East about 11am.
The mother was airflifted to hospital in a critical condition.
9News Queensland reports that it's believed the ute rear-ended the sedan.
The man who was driving the ute was taken to Dalby Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
More than 130 people have died on Queensland roads this year.
"Can I please remind everyone that we have a significant challenge with our road toll this year," Police Commissioner Steve Gollschewski said.
"People on the road need to obey the rules of the road and drive to the conditions."
Dalby-Jandowae Road was closed between MacAlister Bell Road and Inglenton Frees Road/Pirrinuan Malakoff Road.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
Queensland Ambulance said road closures were expected to be in place into the night.
