Two varieties of Uncle Frogs mushroom gummies are being recalled due to the presence of unapproved novel food ingredients.
The NSW Food Authority said Oz Brands Pty Ltd is conducting a recall of Uncle Frog's Mushroom Gummies Cordyceps 36g and Uncle Frog's Mushroom Gummies Lion's Mane 36g with the best before date of March 21, 2025.
The recall of the products is due to the presence of lion's mane and cordyceps.
The products have been available for sale online nationally.
"Food products containing unapproved novel ingredients (lion's mane, cordyceps) may cause adverse symptoms if the product is consumed," the recall notice said.
"Consumers should not eat this product."
The NSW Food Authority said consumers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
"Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.," the notice said.
A public health warning was issued after NSW Health said mushroom gummies left at least five people in hospital.
NSW Health is working with other states and territories as part of its investigations.
If you have these products, dispose of them safely, away from children and pets to avoid accidental consumption.
