9News national affairs editor Andrew Probyn has been named Federal Press Gallery Journalist of the Year for the third time, in an announcement at the Federal Parliamentary Press Gallery Midwinter Ball at Parliament House in Canberra.
Members of the judging panel were unanimous in their choice.

"Andrew demonstrates a mastery of his craft. His news scoops weren't handed to him on a plate and his body of work was broad and agenda setting," the judges said.
"His 60 Minutes story on the Taipan helicopter crash also showed his tenacity and ability to report with sensitivity.
"He's both a news breaker and a sharp analyst of Australian politics."
The multi-award-winning journalist joined 9News in October, his latest step in a career stretching three decades.
He is a three-time Walkley Awards finalist, the winner of the Melbourne Press Club's prestigious Golden Quill, and was named Western Australian Journalist of the Year in 2016.
The press gallery also recognised The Guardian Australia's Paul Karp, who was highly commended.
