A couple has been charged after allegedly stealing a car and leading police on a chase before crashing in Adelaide's south.
A 22-year-old woman from Rosewater and a 36-year-old Clovelly Park man were chased down by police after they allegedly broke into an apartment block around 3am today.
While the couple was inside the apartment complex's garage, they discovered a spare key and allegedly used it to break into an apartment, waking up its tenants who immediately called police.
The pair fled before police could arrive at the scene.
Police attempted to stop them on Main South Road, eventually pursuing them to St Mary's.
Patrols then found an allegedly stolen car that had crashed into a caravan parked on Norman Stree.

The pair were then arrested a short time later.
They have both been charged with a string of offences including trespass, theft and dangerous driving.
Police investigators continued to investigate the scene of the alleged break in in Somorton Park.
