Kyle Sandilands' family member stabbed in Bondi attack

Sydney radio host Kyle Sandilands has revealed that one of his family members was injured in the Bondi Junction stabbing.
The KIIS FM broadcaster said he "burst into tears" as watched the news unfold about the attack at the shopping centre in Sydney's east on Saturday afternoon.
"It was one of the worst things I've ever seen," Sandilands said.

The situation hit even closer to home for Sandilands when his wife, Tegan Kynaston, received a phone call to tell her that one of her family members had been stabbed.
"Thank goodness she did not die," Sandilands said.
Sandilands and co-host Jackie 'O' Henderson interviewed Bondi Rescue lifeguard Andy Reid this morning, who was inside the shopping centre at the time and had helped people who were injured.
"I saw a lady lying there… it was bad," Reid told the hosts.
"Is that the woman with the shoulder stabbing?" Sandilands replied.
"Yeah… it was in the back of her right shoulder blade," Reid said.
"That's one of my family members, so thank you very much," Sandilands said.
"Mate, am I allowed to ask her name?" Reid asked.
"Yvonne is her name, she was released out of hospital first, but there was a lot of blood, right, she was badly injured," Sandilands said.

Five women and one man were killed in the attack, which also left a dozen injured.
Yixuan Cheng, Pikria Darchia, Faraz Tahir, Ashlee Good, Dawn Singleton and Jade Young had their lives cut short at the shopping centre on Saturday afternoon.
More tributes have emerged for the six, including from Young's workplace, Georgina Wilson Associates (GWA), who returned to work this morning without their "beautiful" colleague.
"I can't believe I am writing this, it doesn't feel real," the Double Bay-based architecture studio posted on Instagram.
"Jade was a part of our GWA team for over 12 years – she was family.
"Anyone who knew Jade knew what a beautiful, kind and warm soul she was.
"We are completely devastated. All our love goes out to her family.
"We love you Jade."
Seven of the people injured in the attack, including Ashlee Good's baby, remain hospitalised in Sydney this afternoon.
