Melbourne petrol station offers petrol at 99c a litre for two hours

A petrol station in Melbourne's north is offering fuel for 99c per litre for just two hours as the community grapples with the current cost-of-living crisis.
Metro Petroleum in Thomastown will offer 99c fuel, including petrol, diesel and gas, to motorists between 3pm and 5pm today.
The cost-of-living relief is thanks to giveaway company DCT Club, which ran the initiative in Sydney last month.

DCT founder and director Jon Tsingoli said it was time for Victoria to have a taste of relief after back-to-back giveaways of cheap fuel at petrol stations in Punchbowl and Figtree.
"Our events last month at Punchbowl and Figtree sparked so much joy," he said.
"It's Melbourne's turn now. I'm very much looking forward to doing the same around Australia throughout the year.
"We're very proud to have partnered with Metro Petroleum on our partnership program to give our members- and the general public, when we're feeling extra generous- access to some serious discounts on fuel."

You don't need to be a DCT member to nab the cheap fuel today, with no terms or conditions for the bargain.
The average fuel price for unleaded fuel in Melbourne is $1.84 per litre today.
