Taylor Swift ticket warnings: The key tips to ensure entry

There are new warnings for Taylor Swift fans who have tickets to see the megastar at her seven upcoming concerts in Sydney and Melbourne, the first of which is tonight.
The key message is to check your tickets and be prepared.
With ticket scammers rampant across major events like this the first big risk is that people think they have tickets, but in fact do not. For those that do, It's vital that they are ready to present their ticket before they leave home, and are not planning to rely on mobile coverage at the events.
Thanks to the 80,000-pus attendance inside the stadium, along with an anticipated crowds in the tens of thousands outside the stadiums, mobile network access will be a challenge for everyone.
It's crucial you make sure you are prepared before heading to the show.

It's safe to say Taylor Swift fans when in their element may well be among the biggest consumers of data, live streaming to Instagram or Sharing Snaps on Snapchat, and while that's great among the fans, if anyone turns up to the venue expecting to be able to log into their emails, or the Ticketek App and find their Taylor Swift ticket they may have issues.

Once you have the Ticket in the Ticketek app, you can then share it via email to the other people attending with you. Each of those ticket holders would then need a Ticketek login and the app on their phones.
If you can see the ticket in the Ticketek app, you can then choose the option to add the ticket to your Digital Wallet, such as the Apple Wallet on iPhone or Google Wallet on most Android phones.
"We would like to remind Taylor Swift ticket holders that we are expecting unprecedented numbers, not only in the event, but also in the precinct surrounding the MCG," TEG Chief Operating Officer Head of Global Ticketing, Cameron Hoy told 9news.com.au.
"In order to safeguard fans from unforeseen congestion issues, we request that they download the Ticketek app prior to their arrival and ADD their ticket(s) to their Apple or Google Wallet asap."
Another tip as a backup is to take a screenshot of your digital wallet ticket to save in your photo gallery. This will only work once your ticket has a barcode on it.
Genuine tickets to Taylor Swift shows are accessible to the person who purchased them in the Ticketek app.

If you purchased your ticket through a "friend of a friend" or via Social Media or any other ticket sale website - and you've been sent a PDF or email with a Ticket and Barcode it's important you undertake some checks with Ticketek to confirm it is a legitimate ticket.
There are pop up Ticketek box-offices at the venues and those along with existing Ticketek offices can be visited to check your tickets before you turn up to the turnstile to scan into the venue.
One clear giveaway of a fake ticket is the presence of a BarCode or QR code well before the concert.
Melbourne concert-goers have only in recent days been issued with a bar code for their tickets. Sydney tickets have not yet had bar codes issued. This will happen at some stage next week ahead of the shows.
For parents who are letting their young children attend with their friends, be mindful that those same mobile network congestion issues may cause problems at the end of the event making and taking calls.
To avoid panic, choose a clear and defined pickup area, and make sure those at the concert have phone numbers for parents or carers written down. In the event their mobile phone is not working, or the battery is exhausted, Telstra Payphones are FREE to use at all times, so your kids can call you on your mobile from any payphone in the area.
