The female driver was uninjured but recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.262.
The 40-year-old woman from St Peters immediately lost her licence for 12 months and was reported for drink driving and driving without due care.
Her car was towed from the scene to be impounded for 28 days.
She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
