A Queensland grandmother was left "stunned" after realising she had won $10 million in the Powerball draw last night.
The woman from Sarina in Mackay Queensland, held the only division one winning entry nationally in the Powerball draw on Thursday.
The winning numbers in the draw were 17, 20, 9, 12, 19, 22 and 16. The Powerball number was 9.
"I nearly didn't buy the ticket because I was in a rush on the way to work...wow, just wow," the grandmother said.
"I can't believe it. I don't know what to say...I'm sort of shocked.
"Ten million dollars will really help myself and the family...this is absolutely life-changing.
"I'll be able to pay off my mortgage, heaps of bills and buy a brand-new car.
"I'll also slowly start to cut down my hours at work and eventually retire, it will give me more time to spend with my grandchildren."
The winning ticket was purchased at Freechoice Sarina, a tobacconist in the Sarina Village Shopping Centre.
Owner Emily Thomson called the win "exciting".
"The last time we sold a division one winning entry was in February two years ago and we're really pleased to have sold another one," Thomson said.
"We can't imagine the emotions our winner faced when they checked their ticket and discovered their $10 million Powerball prize."
