Vision obtained by 9News showed an officer sprinting after a man through the streets, before locating him in what appears to be a backyard.
"Oi, stay where you are," the officer was heard to say.
"Put down the weapon," he said.
The man was brought to the ground and arrested.
Police said they located the gun they suspect was used in the alleged home invasion.
Police charged a 31-year-old man with a string of offences including aggravated home burglary, armed robbery, theft of a car, driving recklessly and without a license, and failing to stop when directed.
He is due to face the Perth Magistrates Court tomorrow.
His alleged accomplice is still on the run.
Armadale Detectives are still seeking information about the incident, urging anyone who may have information to come forward.
